I have degrees in Biology, Chemistry and Medicine. I bring this broad knowledgebase and extensive life sciences experience to every instructional environment. Creative and adaptable, I believe that when the teaching environment is fun, students will learn more, retain more and fall in love with lifelong learning. Students have repeatedly commented on my enthusiasm and energy in the classroom. I bring a strong organizational drive to my work. I also have extensive computer skills through which I have developed software which streamlines tasks and creates innovative presentations, saving time and enhancing student comprehension. I engage the students through humor and actual anecdotes from the world of medicine. With this style, students have always felt comfortable bringing to me concerns of all types. I continue to act as an advisor and mentor to many former students. A peripatetic teacher, I involve students that would otherwise be losing interest. I dynamically adjust my teaching to changing moods and attention levels. I believe that teaching is about the involvement and interest of my students, whatever their educational level is.
