Personal Statement
I recently graduated from University of California at Berkeley with a BA in Asian Studies. I focused my time on studying Chinese history, politics and (mandaren) language. Since graduating, I have remained employed at a community college performing arts center, where I work in various positions including Stage manager, Lighting designer/operator, and sound designer/operator.
I am interested, however, in furthering my own education, perhaps in Anthropolgy, or Chinese language and becoming a teacher in one of these feilds.

Tutoring Approach/Experience
My approach is to identify and make clear, the fact that each of us has integrity and a desire to make progress in our lives. I believe that we make ourselves better people by trying to learn. My approach to tutoring is remind peolpe that they dont need my help but that I am only there to encourage them to figure things out on their own.
