Personal Statement
I have been tutoring English as a second language for over two years. In 2007 I completed the SIT TESOL certification course and since then I've helped many people of many different nationalities and ages to improve their English skills. I'm a native English speaker, but my father is from Brazil and I also speak Portuguese and understand some Spanish. I lived in Brazil until I was five years old, then I moved to the U.S. and grew up in New Jersey. I've been living in NH since 2004.
Tutoring Approach/Experience
My approach is centered around the learner and their specific needs. Your first lesson with me will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to tell me what your specific needs are. It will also be an opportunity for me to asses your language level, your skills and your preferred learning style. Some people learn best by memorizing English rules, others like lots of homework, others enjoy learning through games or songs. I will customize my approach to your needs.
